Work at the Hawthorne Playfield consisted of demolition of the existing, dilapidated Recreation Center and conversion of the site into a new urban playfield. New amenities included, color-coated basketball courts, regulation horseshoe pits, a gazebo, vinyl-coated fencing, new berm areas and new sod applications with lawn maintenance.
