In September of 2010, the joint venture, KEO/Turner, was once again recognized for its work on the Eastern Market Shed #3 Renovation, receiving the Crew Detroit IMPACT Award. The Crew Detroit IMPACT judges praised Shed 3, citing it as “a successful transformation into a multi-use space”. They added that the building has had a positive impact socially as well as environmentally. Also highlighted were its positive sustainable features that tie into urban farming. Prior to this award, KEO/Turner had received the American Society of Civil Engineers 2010 Quality of Life Award for Eastern Market Shed 3. The project was also featured in the CAM Magazine October Special Issue 2010 as a highlighted Renovation and Restoration Project.
